How much does FitScan cost?
The app is free to download. Your first body scan is free. After that, each scan is a one-time $0.99 in-app purchase. There is no subscription and nothing auto-renews.
I bought a scan credit but don't see it — how do I restore?
Open the Profile tab and tap Restore Purchases. This re-checks your Apple account for past purchases and re-grants any missing credits. You will not be charged again.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all refunds for in-app purchases. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple ID used to buy the credit, find the FitScan purchase and request a refund. We do not have access to issue refunds directly.
Why does the app need camera and photo access?
Body scans and weekly check-ins use a front and side photo of your physique. Food scans use a photo of the meal. You can take new photos with the camera or pick existing ones from your library. Photos are stored only on your device.
Do my photos get uploaded?
Image bytes are sent over HTTPS to our analysis endpoint at the moment of a scan only, processed by AI to generate the written analysis, and not retained on our servers afterward. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete all my data?
Open the Profile tab and tap Reset All Data. Everything (profile, scans, check-ins, photos, credit balance, water intake, workout logs) is stored locally on your device and will be removed. Alternatively, deleting the app removes it all.
The app says "Product not found in App Store"
This usually means the app was installed before in-app purchases were finalized in the App Store. Reboot the device and try again, or email support with your Apple region and the version number shown in Settings.
My scan grade seems wrong
AI analysis is an estimate based on visible cues in the photo (lighting, angle, posture). For best accuracy: shoot in good lighting, stand 6–8 feet from the camera, wear fitted clothing, and keep the framing consistent week to week.
Is FitScan medical advice?
No. Scan grades, body composition estimates, food macros, and workout plans are AI-generated estimates for fitness tracking only. FitScan is not a medical device. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical, dietary or training advice that affects your health.
